Join us as we welcome a panel of guest HR Professionals/Recruiters to talk about tips and tricks when it comes to landing your first HR job out of university. Through some specific Q&A they will discuss how the recruiting function works within organizations and agencies, the importance of building your professional network (and how to do it), ways you can get HR experience without an ‘HR position’ and what recruiters are looking for when it comes to entry-level positions for new university grads.
Get to know your panel speakers!
- Liana Chang, HR Manager for University of British Columbia
- Lauren Semancik, Director, HR + Operations for Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineers
- Viktoria Jones, Talent Acquisition Specialist for Impact Recruitment
Joining us that evening will also be Quinne Davey, Member Relations Manager for CPHR BC & Yukon as well as Dimpy D’Souza, Post-Secondary Lead for CPHR BC & Yukon and Ashley Fox, Student Ambassador for CPHR BC & Yukon. They will help you learn more about the Association and student member benefits, things you can take advantage of as a student member to accelerate your career as well as the pathways to earning a CPHR designation.
