Lewisa Anciano currently leads the human resources function as Vice-President, People at Coast Capital Savings. She was formerly a Vice President, Human Resources with an award-winning technology company, in charge of strategic planning, corporate communications and human resources. She is also an entrepreneur, who founded Kickstart H.R. Inc, offering a ready-to-go HR toolkit designed to jump-start any HR initiative/department with clients in Canada, US, Europe, Australia and the Middle East.
Lewisa loves to lead, teach and learn, and as an active member of the HR community she has served on the Board of Directors of the BC Human Resources Management Association as Chair of their Finance Committee between 2007 and 2013. She has taught management courses at Langara College and Simon Fraser University’s Executive MBA Program. She shares her passion for building high performing organizations by presenting at conferences such as the Association of Training and Development, BC HRMA and the Talent Management Alliance.
As a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Lewisa also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management. In addition, she has completed the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business Advanced Management Program and is currently enrolled in the Strategy Execution Program at INSEAD.

An HR professional with over 10 years of experience in a variety of industries such as retail, financial services, advertising, and high tech, Sheila is passionate about working with leaders at all levels to ensure their focus is on developing their teams to achieve their maximum potential, and in turn drive business results. Taking a coach approach, Sheila works to elevate leaders within organizations in the areas of performance management, strategic workforce planning, succession planning and pipeline, change management, organizational design, and employee relations, with a commitment to collaboration and partnership. Sheila believes that successful companies are focused on developing and investing in their number one priority – their people.
