Recruitment 101 brings in industry professionals to speak about success stories and tips for students who are interested in HR, or have a general interest in learning from an HR insider. Students have the opportunity to network with experienced recruiters and ask questions. Don’t miss out!

Speaker Bios

Michael Dha from STRIVE Recruitment

With nearly a decade of experience within the recruitment industry, Michael is currently the Managing Director of a STRIVE Recruitment, a boutique firm in Vancouver, specializing in Accounting, Finance and Supply-Chain Operations. After receiving his BBA from BCIT, he began his career with the largest agency in the world, Randstad. Michael has worked with all levels of candidates. From placing temporary call center staff to VPs of Canada’s largest organizations. Michael was twice named Top Recruiter of the year in Canada within his 4 year spell with the company. Michael saw the need for a firm that molded a boutique, client-service approach with a large company reach, and thus – formed STRIVE Recruitment in 2008. As the Managing Director, he currently manages a team of recruitment consultants who specialize in placing senior level accounting, finance and supply-chain professionals throughout North America. STRIVE’s list of clients include one of the most profitable accounting firms in the world, a Fortune 100 organization in the US and a billion dollar Vancouver success story.

 

Mathew Low from Annex Consulting
Mathew joined Annex in July of 2013. Previous to that he had a diverse career spanning both the public sector (Citizenship and Immigration Canada & the Canada Revenue Service) and the private sector (Electronic Arts & Aequilibrium – a small Digital Agency start-up). With recruitment experience in all levels and types of organizations, Mathew brings with him a unique outlook and background . He is focused on a having personal and meaningful professional relationship and bringing together the best matched clients and candidates.

Kimberley Wysseier from Annex Consulting
Kimberley has been working with Annex since November 2012. After graduating with her Master’s of Science in Organizational Psychology (Human Resources) in June 2012, she took the highly selective National Knowledge Examination, and became a British Columbia Human Resources Association (BCHRMA) Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) 2013. Kimberley is an avid networker in the HR and tech communities. Kimberley is committed to delivering excellence and achieving outstanding results in her professional and personal life.
